Gaslamp Gothic

Dim the lights and pour yourself a dram of absinthe … you’ve just entered the world of Gaslamp Gothic, where dark secrets lurk behind every closed door and fey things walk the night (besides your cat, that is).

One reader described the stories as “beautiful landscapes, beasts with more to them than meets the eye, women who fight the darkness, and men seeking redemption” — which I love! The books are more of a loose collection than a straight series and can be read out of order without any difficulties (though A Bad Breed and The Necromancer’s Bride work best as a duology).

They blend romance, suspense, history and adventure, with characters that star in some and have cameos in others. The newest one features Harry & John (and James Moran, my favorite gangland bad boy), but there will be more with Balthazar, as well as Anne & Gabriel, so stay tuned!
